Today’s itinerary includes a visit to the Tehran Grand Bazaar, an area that is rich in history and full of character. This bazaar, one of the oldest in Tehran, is a must-see for tourists visiting the city. With over 10 kilometers (six miles) of winding alleys filled with covered shops, buzzing with customers haggling and bargaining, you’ll find an array of items for sale, ranging from jewelry to carpets, and even pots and pans.

The National Museum of Iran is another exciting spot that you’ll visit. Known for its modern design, it was built in the early 20th century and offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich history of Iran. You’ll have the opportunity to explore and learn from the museum’s extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits.
The National Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history and culture. It’s home to countless treasures and objects that showcase the fascinating story of human civilization on the plateau of Iran over the past 30,000 years. Just a few minutes away, you’ll find the stunning Golestan Palace, which served as the 19th-century Qajar royal residence. Its intricate tiling, symmetrical fountains, and colorful rose patterns on the walls are a testament to the height of Qajar-era architecture and provide a glimpse into authentic Iranian splendor.

Embark on a scenic drive to Kashan, a city steeped in history and culture. As one of the most important historical cities in Iran, no trip to this incredible country is complete without exploring the wonders of Kashan. Our first stop will be the Fin Garden, one of the nine Persian Gardens to be included on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. This breathtaking garden features an impressive network of water channels that flow through a central pavilion, creating an aesthetically pleasing oasis that’s sure to leave you in awe.
The Boroujerdi house is a stunning example of traditional Iranian architecture and was built over a century ago during the Qajar dynasty. It’s incredible that the construction date can still be seen on the inscription on the roof of the building – there is so much history to be discovered! This house has been drawing attention from both Iranian and foreign architects and travelers, and it’s not hard to see why.

Then we visit the Tabatabaie house, a remarkable dwelling featuring multiple courtyards, intricate wind catchers, stunning wall paintings, and exquisite glass windows that are sure to captivate your senses. It’s a prime example of classic Traditional Persian residential architecture.

Our final destination in Kashan is the Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse. This historic bathhouse is one of the oldest preserved in Iran, and its entrance doubles as a museum. Once inside, you’ll be enchanted by the intricate pigeon and floral patterns that adorn the walls. It’s an experience not to be missed!

If you’re planning a trip to Iran in May, you’re in for a treat! This is the time of year when the Rose Watering Festival takes place, and it’s a wonderful cultural experience. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the traditional process of extracting rosewater from local gardens, and you might even get to participate in the festivities with the locals in Kashan and nearby villages. It’s a truly unique and memorable experience that you won’t want to miss!

Then we continue to the historical village of Abyaneh.

Starting the day with a visit to Abyaneh village is a great choice. This historical village is recognized on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is one of the most famous villages in Iran, located on the slopes of a mountain.

One of the unique features of Abyaneh is that it’s called the “red village” because people still live in red mud houses, just like before. It’s fascinating to see how this village has preserved its traditional way of life and architecture.

One of the most striking things about Abyaneh is the contrast between the red color of the step-like row houses and the green color of the willow trees below them. It creates an eye-catching view that is truly breathtaking. It’s a perfect opportunity to take some stunning photos and immerse yourself in the beauty of this unique village.

Our classic tour continues with a visit to the historic Jameh Mosque of Naein, which dates back to the Buyid dynasty. This mosque is truly unique, as it has managed to maintain its original form over the centuries. Following this, we’ll be heading to the stunning city of Yazd. We will be visiting Yazd, a city that has maintained its traditional architecture and streets more than any other city in Iran. It’s definitely a must-visit destination during your trip to Iran!

Our first stop will be the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, which is situated in the center of the city’s main square. This complex is a true masterpiece that showcases a magnificent three-story facade with several symmetric porches. Inside, you can explore different areas, including caravanserais, baths, and shops, making it an excellent way to immerse yourself in Iranian culture.

After visiting the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, we’ll head to The Water Museum, which was once a mansion and is now an educational museum. Here, you’ll learn about the underground water channels that keep the city hydrated and how the wind catchers work. You’ll also get to see the tools used by the aqueduct makers and discover how they make and connect the aqueducts to the houses to transport drinking water. It’s an interesting way to learn about the essential role of water in Iranian society.

Next, we’ll visit The Towers of Silence, which is an important site for Zoroastrians and also known as Sky Burials. Located in a prominent desert landscape, these two circular structures are a unique sight to behold. You can learn about the ancient Zoroastrian customs surrounding death and the afterlife, as well as the fascinating rituals that took place at this site. The Towers of Silence is an important part of Iranian history and culture, and it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary!

Our next stop on the tour is the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, where you will witness a flame that has been burning since the 5th century AH. This sacred shrine is an essential destination for Zoroastrians, and you can learn more about their fascinating rituals and customs during your visit. Don’t forget to take some time to appreciate the beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings of the temple.

Afterward, we will visit Dowlat Abad Garden, a stunning 18th-century residence. At the center of the garden lies a large pond, surrounded by old cypress trees, pomegranate plants, and ornamental trees that perfectly capture the essence of Iranian gardens. Make sure to take plenty of pictures and soak up the serene atmosphere before we move on to our next destination.
As you wander through Dowlat Abad Garden, you’ll come across a magnificent hexagonal pavilion that boasts a stunning colorful glass window. The centerpiece of the pavilion, however, is the towering 33-meter wind tower that adds an extra touch of grandeur to this already impressive building.

Today’s adventure will be more exciting when we go to  Zurkhaneh, a traditional sports venue in Iran. Men gather in this ring-shaped space to practice calisthenics and other bodybuilding exercises. It’s a must-visit location for anyone interested in traditional Iranian sports and culture. You can watch the men exercise and even participate in some exercises yourself if you’re up for the challenge!

When we leave Yazd, after about 48 kilometers, A giant Sand Castle rises from the desert, It is Saryazd Castel. Its architecture and design are amazing and stunning and you can spend hours exploring the winding interior.

If you manage to climb to the top of the tallest tower, you’ll be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of the desert and surrounding mountains, including Shirkoh, the highest peak in central Iran.

Walking in this castle gives an image of the customs and culture of 7th-century Iran.

A little further away we get to Zein-Odin Caravanserai, which has always been attractive to travelers as a 400-year-old residence with unique circular architecture. We will have a short rest in this Caravanserai and enjoy its architecture and history. Then we continue to Kerman.

Today we leave Kerman behind to visit Mahan and Rayen. Both are historic cities located in the Kerman province of Iran.

Mahan is renowned for its beautiful gardens, mausoleums, and palaces. One of the most famous sites in Mahan is the Shazdeh Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that features a stunning collection of pools, fountains, and trees.

Rayen, on the other hand, is famous for its ancient citadel, known as the Arg-e Rayen, which dates back to the Sassanid Empire. The citadel is made entirely of adobe and is a magnificent example of traditional Persian architecture.

Once you’ve finished exploring the wonders of Mahan and Rayen, the next stop on your itinerary will be the Shahdad desert, located about 70 kilometers southeast of Kerman. The unique sand formations, known as Kaluts, are a sight to behold, having been shaped by the wind over thousands of years. You’ll be staying overnight at desert resorts, preparing for the adventure that awaits you the following day. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip!

After you enjoy a delicious local breakfast, we will be driving to visit Kaluts. This is where the adventure begins! We will be embarking on a thrilling 4×4 tour of the desert, with a local guide who will take us through the breathtaking scenery.

You’ll have an opportunity to witness the mesmerizing Kaluts, enjoying the tranquil desert atmosphere while observing the distinctive rock formations. The formations are created by thousands of years of erosion, making this a unique geological phenomenon. We’ll spend a few hours exploring this captivating landscape before driving back to Kerman to explore the city.

Kerman is an ancient city with a rich history and important historical attractions including:

Ganjali Khan Complex: This impressive complex was built during the Safavid era and includes a bazaar, a mosque, a bathhouse, a caravanserai, and a water reservoir. It is a great example of traditional Iranian architecture and is a popular tourist destination.

And Jameh Mosque of Kerman: This beautiful mosque was built in the 14th century and has a unique architectural style that blends Seljuk, Ilkhanid, and Safavid elements. It is one of the oldest mosques in Iran and is still in use today.

Today, we will be saying goodbye to the charming city of Kerman and embarking on a journey toward the lovely city of Shiraz.

En route, we have the wonderful opportunity to explore the fascinating Meymand village. This historic village has been inhabited for more than 2,000 years and boasts a breathtaking desert landscape. The village is renowned for its unique cave houses, intricately carved into the natural rock formations.

Alongside the cave houses, Meymand village is also home to a plethora of historic landmarks, including a 10th-century mosque and a 400-year-old castle. It’s a truly remarkable place to visit and experience.

From Meymand village, our journey will take us onwards to the stunning city of Shiraz.

Once you finish your visit to the Pink Mosque, make your way to the city center to see the impressive Karim Khan Citadel, a historic fortress that dates back to the 18th century.

Our journey through Shiraz takes us next to the vibrant Vakil Bazaar, a bustling marketplace that boasts hundreds of shops, stunning courtyards, and even an ancient caravanserai. A visit to Vakil Mosque is an absolute must, as its magnificent architecture is sure to leave you in awe and give you a sense of peace and tranquility. And don’t forget to explore the traditional Vakil bath to witness the unique and intricate designs of Iranian architecture.

The Tomb of Hafez is a must-see attraction that draws in travelers from all over. As a tribute to Hafez Shirazi, one of Iran’s most renowned poets, the peaceful atmosphere of the two gardens surrounding the tomb will leave you feeling inspired and humbled. The surrounding gardens are a sight to behold! You’ll come across several rectangular ponds that have been added to enhance the beauty of the gardens. Additionally, the well-maintained orange trees, paths, streams, and flower beds create a serene environment that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Finally, the holy shrine of Ali Ibn Hamze is the perfect way to end your magical day in Shiraz. Although small, the shrine is stunning, starting from the beautiful fountain in the courtyard garden to the mirror tiles that cover the entire wall and dome ceiling, and the breathtaking mirror hall. The beauty of this shrine is sure to leave you dazzled and inspired.

Starting our day fresh, we will begin our journey towards one of the most magnificent sites in Iran: Persepolis. This ancient city was the capital of the Persian Empire in the 6th century BC and was built and completed by successive rulers over a period of 150 years. As we explore the remains of Persepolis, we’ll have the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Persian Empire firsthand. The towering pillars, the intricately-carved reliefs, and every other aspect of this site are a testament to the empire’s power and influence. It’s truly a sight to behold and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After visiting the grandeur of Persepolis, we’ll explore the area around it and head to Naqsh-e-Rostam, a site that is home to an impressive collection of ancient Iranian rock reliefs. This incredible site provides a glimpse into three different periods of Iranian history and includes depictions of Elamite gods, the tombs of Achaemenid kings, and carvings of Sassanid kings.

Then, It’ll be great to get back to Shiraz, have dinner, and rest. However, the evening has something even more special in store for us with a Persian hospitality event. We’ll be the guests of a kind and welcoming Persian family in their home to relax, eat, and experience a taste of traditional Persian culture.

Iranian hospitality is renowned for its generosity, and we’ll be treated to an array of sweets and drinks, served with warmth and kindness which is characteristic of Persian hospitality. It’ll be a memorable evening that will give us a unique insight into the local way of life and leave us with a deeper appreciation of the beauty of Persian culture.

As we leave Shiraz, we will pass under the arch of the Koran Gate – an iconic historical religious gate that is one of the oldest and most prominent gates of its kind in Iran. These gates were constructed based on the belief of Iranians that passing under the Quran would bring them a safe journey.

Afterward, we will stop by Pasargadae to visit the tomb of Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Achaemenid Empire, and the former capital of the empire. This visit will allow you to delve into the ancient history of Iran and witness the impressive architectural achievements of the Achaemenids.

Today you will be exploring Isfahan, the magnificent capital of the Safavid Empire. This city is full of historical wonders and stunning architecture that will surely take your breath away. And one of the top attractions of Isfahan is Naqsh Jahan Square, also known as Imam Square. It’s a central hub that boasts a number of impressive architectural structures that are a testament to the city’s rich history and culture.

The southern edge of the square is home to the Imam Mosque, also called the Shah Mosque, which is considered the best example of Islamic architecture in Iran. So be sure to take your time and appreciate this remarkable site to the fullest!
the Imam Mosque sounds absolutely breathtaking with its soaring minarets and delicate blue-tiled mosaics! The resplendent Quranic script, shining porches, and geometric floral motifs make it a true masterpiece of Islamic architecture and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful mosques in the world.
Another stunning mosque that you’ll get to visit is the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, located along the eastern side of Naqsh Jahan Square. It’s known for its golden cream tiles and intricate arabesques, and the mesmerizing central dome is impressive both inside and out. What’s interesting about this mosque is that it doesn’t have a minaret, which sets it apart from most other mosques. You’re in for a real treat today!
If you’re standing in front of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, you can’t miss the stunning six-story Ali Qapu Palace right next to it. This palace was completed in the late 16th century and boasts a variety of beautiful paintings and frescoes. The terrace with its columns is a great spot to take in the amazing view of the square and its beautiful mosques. After visiting the square, take a leisurely stroll through the Qeysarieh Bazaar, where you’ll find lots of local vendors selling traditional arts and crafts. It’s a fantastic place to pick up pottery, enamelware, and jewelry, and soak up the local atmosphere.

heading towards the Chehel Sotun Palace! The palace gets its name from the twenty slender wooden columns in front of it, which when reflected in the tall fountain, create an illusion of forty columns. This Safavid palace has now been converted into a museum, surrounded by beautiful gardens. You’ll be amazed by the magnificent wall paintings inside, which depict scenes from the life of the Safavid court.
After visiting the Chehel Sotun Palace, you will get to see the Zayandeh Roud River. Walking on the historical bridges of Isfahan will be a great experience for you. The thirty-three bridges are named after the 33 arches that form a symmetrical and beautiful structure. This 300-meter-long bridge is spread across the Zayandeh Roud River and is lit up at night, making it a beautiful sight to behold. Another gorgeous bridge in the area is the Khajoo Bridge, which is also worth visiting.

Today, let’s explore more of Isfahan by visiting the charming Vank Church located in the Jolfa neighborhood. The church was built for Armenian immigrants to Iran and boasts a relatively simple exterior made of yellowish-brown brickwork. However, the interior is a completely different story with its intricate and colorful wall paintings that are sure to leave you in awe.

Our final stop in Isfahan is the Jame Mosque which dates back to the 8th century and has undergone multiple renovations over the years. It is a true testament to the city’s rich history and architectural heritage.
